On the occasion of World Hindi Day, the institute organized a special Hindi lecture titled "Linguistics: An Educational Discourse" and a book discussion (Pustak charcha) on "Agni Ki Udaan: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (Translated in Hindi by Arun Tiwari)" on January 10, 2025. The program started with an insightful lecture on linguistics by Dr. Krishna Kumar Mishra, the Chief Guest, who emphasized the structure and development of Hindi, highlighting its global significance. While sharing the journey of the development of Hindi, he expressed his views on the possibilities of its contribution in the future. The lecture covered various aspects of linguistics, with a special focus on the global expansion of Hindi and its increasing role in the technical field.

In the second session of the program, a Hindi book discussion was organized on "Agni Ki Udaan", in which the key points of the book were discussed in detail. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the author of this autobiography, provides a profound glimpse into his childhood, struggles, achievements, and the most challenging moments of his life. Discussing various chapters of the book, panel members elaborated on various chapters of the book, shedding light on Dr. Kalam's life principles, his relentless pursuit of dreams, and his unwavering dedication. Through this book, Dr. Kalam emphasized several crucial aspects of his journey, highlighting that success is only attained through hard work, effort, and self-confidence.

The panel for the book discussion included Dr. Krishna Kumar Mishra (Associate Professor, Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education), Prof. Nandkishore (Dean, Administrative Affairs), Prof. S.V. Kulkarni, Shri. Ganesh Bhorkade, Registrar, Shri. Ajay Prasad (Deputy Registrar, Accounts Section), Ms. Valsala Kumari (Principal, Campus School), Mr. R.K. Shukla (Hindi Teacher, KV), Ms. Vaishali Bahulkar (Hindi Officer), and Ms. Khushi Kumari (Ph.D. Student). Anchoring of the program was done by Dr. Varsha Mahesh. The inspirational book discussion saw significant participation from students of Campus School and PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Powai. The audience showed great interest in the event, reflecting that such programs foster awareness and interest in the Hindi language and literature. Ms. Vaishali Bahulkar, Hindi Officer thanked all the guests and the audience, expressing gratitude for their participation in the event.
