Introduction
IIT Bombay is pleased to invite nominations for the second edition of the coveted program “Nurturing Future Leadership Program (NFLP)”, conceptualised by the Ministry of Education under the aegis of Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, at its campus in Mumbai.
This prestigious leadership development program aims to nurture faculty, especially at the early stage in their career, to lead the country and the world in future. The 5-day residential program aims to make it easy for faculty to navigate future leadership challenges in academia and education in the rapidly changing world.
The stated objective of this program is to make “everyone a leader”, and IIT Bombay would like to be a part of the program and shape the academic leaders of tomorrow.
Target Audience
Regular/ permanent faculty at Centrally Funded Institutes, State Public Universities and Private HEIs with at least 3 years of teaching experience duly nominated by the Directors/Vice Chancellors.
Program Objectives
- To build an ecosystem to inculcate leadership skills in faculty members at levels early in their careers to advance both individual and organizational goals.
- To be a broad-based leadership development programme.
- To expand the pool of potential leaders for the range of leadership positions.
- To prepare faculty to contribute effectively and proactively in collective decision-making.
- Shared governance, developing initiatives, problem-solving.
- Enabling institute administration to assess the leadership quality of their faculty through this programme.
Course Fee
The program is fully funded by the Ministry of Education, GoI. The nominating institutions will have to bear the cost of travel for their nominated participants.
Accommodation
IIT Bombay will provide campus accommodation and boarding to the incoming participants (shared occupancy). Cost of travel, however, is NOT covered.

About IIT Bombay
