The 10X GMP facility at IIT Bombay is the first-of-its-kind in India and will help to manufacture products for human trials. This facility will encourage researchers to manufacture breakthrough products in healthcare which are 10 times cheaper better or faster than anything currently available. This will make treatment of complex diseases like types of Cancer, much more affordable without any compromise on quality and efficacy. IIT Bombay has a strong pipeline of products awaiting the launch of this GMP.  Researchers from IIT Bombay showcased breakthrough treatment solutions based on their cutting-edge research which have gone past animal trials.

This technologically sophisticated GMP has many unique features. It is flexible enough to accommodate a product change every few weeks. While it provides top-of-the-line sterility, the biosafety level can also be flexibly changed to suit the concerned product requirements. As many as four independent products can be simultaneously manufactured in this GMP without risk of cross-contamination. It will also be a partnership opportunity for small and medium-sized Pharma companies which can use this facility because it may not be viable for them to set up and operate such a complex facility on their own.
